Recruit Bud vs HireQwik: an honest comparison

Recruit Bud is an AI TA that sources, screens, and follows up with candidates on a hiring team's behalf. HireQwik is an AI screening layer built for high-volume hiring: it reads every resume against a job description with per-requirement evidence, then interviews the shortlist in structured AI voice conversations.

Both hand back a ranked, evidence-backed shortlist instead of a stack of resumes a recruiter has to work through by hand. Where they diverge is in what each one assumes you already have in place before the screening starts.

HireQwik has a real pilot behind it, and there are hiring patterns it's built for well. Read Recruit Bud's side the same way you'd read HireQwik's: against what it actually does, not what it calls itself.

TL;DR

  • HireQwik scores resumes against a job description with per-requirement evidence, then interviews the shortlist by voice. It doesn't source candidates and doesn't publish pricing.

  • Recruit Bud sources candidates first, then screens by voice and follows up over WhatsApp and email, with published bundled pricing starting at ₹9,999/month for 400 screened candidates.

  • Pick HireQwik if you already have a large resume pool (campus drives, bulk pushes) that needs fast, evidence-backed triage.

  • Pick Recruit Bud if sourcing itself is part of the gap, or you want a published price before the first conversation.

What does each platform actually do?

HireQwik's pipeline starts with a job description. It derives knockout rules and a scoring rubric from that JD, then scores every resume against it, with per-requirement evidence quoted directly from the resume, seniority-band checks, and experience weighted for relevance rather than just years on paper.

Resumes can arrive several ways:

  • Google Sheets, referral forms, or Excel exports

  • Dragged PDF and DOCX files

  • An existing ATS, Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Zoho Recruit, or a proprietary in-house system, with HireQwik plugging in as a screening layer rather than a replacement

The shortlist that clears the resume stage moves into a structured, real-time-adaptive AI voice interview lasting 15 to 20 minutes, with capacity for up to 1,300 interview slots a day. It comes back with a four-tier verdict, Strong Go, Go, Hold, or No Go, backed by recordings, transcripts, and per-question evidence.

Recruit Bud covers the same evidence-backed screening motion but starts a step earlier. Sourcing is built in, either through Recruit Bud's own ATS, an apply link candidates land on directly, or an API into a system a team already runs, so there's no assumption that a resume batch is already sitting somewhere waiting to be screened.

The voice screening call, which can run in a choice of voices to match a brand's tone, extracts structured fields, current and expected CTC, notice period, location, directly from the conversation. Candidates who don't pick up get a WhatsApp and email follow-up rather than being marked unreachable.

Practical difference: HireQwik screens the resumes you bring it. Recruit Bud brings the candidates in the first place, then screens and follows up with them.

Where does the pricing actually differ?

HireQwik doesn't publish pricing anywhere on its site. The path in is a 30-minute demo against a live job description, followed by a free pilot on up to 100 of your own candidates, with actual cost only surfacing once you're far enough into a conversation to ask for it directly.

Recruit Bud is sold as bundled monthly plans, priced per fully screened candidate: ₹9,999 a month for 400 candidates, ₹35,000 a month for 1,500, with custom volume-based pricing at the enterprise tier under a quarterly or yearly commitment. The number is public before a sales conversation starts.

Best for

Teams where sourcing is part of the gap, not just screening

Teams with an existing large resume pool that needs fast triage

If a hiring team already has a resume pipeline and wants a layer that scores and interviews what's already coming in, HireQwik's model fits that starting point directly. If the gap is earlier than that, in actually getting candidates into the pipeline, Recruit Bud's published pricing and built-in sourcing are the more direct fit.

Where does sourcing and hiring volume matter more than the screening step itself?

This is where the two tools are built for genuinely different starting points. HireQwik's own case study, a six-month pilot with HyperVerge running from March to August 2026, screened 66,873 resumes and completed 2,589 AI voice interviews, cutting the time to screen 3,000 profiles from roughly 18 hours down to 1-2 hours, and the end-to-end timeline from 6-10 days to 1-2 days.

That's a real result, and it points at exactly what HireQwik is built for: a large resume pool already sitting in a pipeline, most often from a campus drive or a bulk hiring push, that needs to be triaged fast.

That's a different shape of problem from a business hiring in occasional bursts with no dedicated recruiter, or a company deciding whether it needs an AI TA at all based on how many candidates it actually screens per role, not how many resumes happen to be sitting in a folder already. HireQwik's pipeline assumes the resumes are already there. Recruit Bud's sourcing exists because, for a lot of hiring teams, they aren't.

Which one should you actually pick?

If a hiring team already runs high-volume drives, campus or otherwise, with a resume pool that needs fast, evidence-backed triage before anyone picks up a phone, HireQwik's JD-derived scoring and four-tier voice verdict are built directly for that workload, and its pilot results back that up.

If sourcing itself is part of the gap, not just the screening step, or a published price matters before the first conversation, Recruit Bud is built around that fuller scope. The free 2-week pilot is there so you can run it against a real batch of roles and candidates before deciding either way.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does HireQwik cost?

HireQwik doesn't publish pricing on its site. It offers a 30-minute demo against a live job description, followed by a free pilot on up to 100 of your own candidates, with the actual cost discussed after that. Recruit Bud publishes its plans directly: ₹9,999 a month for 400 fully screened candidates, ₹35,000 a month for 1,500, with custom volume pricing at the enterprise tier.

Does HireQwik source candidates, or only screen them?

HireQwik only screens. It reads resumes you already have, whether uploaded directly or pulled from Google Sheets, referral forms, Excel exports, or an existing ATS like Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, or Zoho Recruit, then hands a ranked shortlist back. Recruit Bud sources candidates directly through a built-in ATS, an apply link, or an API into a system already in use, in addition to screening them.

What does HireQwik's AI voice interview actually check?

HireQwik interviews shortlisted candidates in structured, real-time-adaptive conversations lasting 15 to 20 minutes, then returns a four-tier verdict, Strong Go, Go, Hold, or No Go, along with recordings, transcripts, and per-question evidence. Recruit Bud's voice screening extracts structured fields like current and expected CTC, notice period, and location directly from the call, in addition to producing recordings and a ranked shortlist.

Is HireQwik built for high-volume or campus-style hiring specifically?

That's where its own case study points: a six-month India pilot with HyperVerge screened 66,873 resumes and completed 2,589 AI voice interviews, cutting the time to screen 3,000 profiles from roughly 18 hours to 1-2 hours. Recruit Bud is built to work at any volume, from a single ongoing role to a high-volume push, without requiring a resume batch large enough to justify the setup.

If you want to see how the sourcing-to-shortlist difference plays out on your own roles, try Recruit Bud with the free 2-week pilot before deciding between the two.
